I’m passionate about my work
As a former family physician and mother, I developed an interest in helping families recover from technology dependence. My experience includes working at the nation’s pioneer treatment program, reSTART, and in private practice from 2010-2018.
Today, I love to meet with groups to share my knowledge and expertise and discuss internet and gaming dependence. Through these speaking engagements I hope to assist people in living lives free from internet, gaming and media dependence.
Education and Experience
I am a Washington state licensed mental health counselor (LMHC). I received a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Washington, a medical degree from the George Washington University School of Medicine and completed a family practice residency at Providence Hospital (now Swedish Hospital Cherry Hill Campus) in Seattle. I then went into private practice as a family medicine physician in the Kirkland area, caring for patients of all ages. My interest in the psychological aspects of medical illnesses and the mind/body connection led me to obtain a master’s degree (MA) in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University.
